About Me
Hello! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Chloe (she/her), and I am an educator, communicator, sometimes artist, and enthusiastic traveller.
I grew up in the pine forests of Flagstaff, Arizona, before moving to the Sonoran Desert to pursue my Bachelor’s in Theatre and Film Studies. In school, my focus was on cultural criticism and dramaturgy. During my senior year, I began to explore more political works, such as post-war German performance and Latin American Theatre of the Oppressed. After graduation, I freelanced within the theatre community as a dramaturg, director, costumer, and stage manager.
After about a year, I decided to obtain my Masters in Public Administration, as I realized storytelling, shared knowledge, and embodied learning could provide unique outcomes in public forums. I wanted to use my theatrical experience to build community, mend relationships, and promote true engagement and collaboration.
Working in an environmental nonprofit, I found myself in the role of communicator and educator. The pursuit of shared and accessible knowledge coached in the unique lived experiences of individuals and the promotion of lifelong learning led me to a job in higher education, where I am currently a graduate advisor in pursuit of a Masters in Education with a focus on Global Education and Learning Design and Technologies.
I am particularly passionate about developing impactful and engaging learning opportunities for students through accessible, inclusive design and collaborative, humanistic pedagogies. An avid gamer, I’m interested in developing identities, building communities, promoting problem-solving, and roleplaying narrative in digital spaces.
